What is it about a design that lets you know it was done by a professional, and not the neighbor’s kid who “knows Photoshop”? What is that unseen element that separates strong designs from the eye candy that seems to be spreading like a fungus bent on taking over the design world (and not the delicious fungus you top a mushroom pizza with)?

It’s just that, everything you never see in the final design; the planning, direction, creative thinking and problem solving, and everything else that normally gets left out of a design tutorial. In this two part tutorial we’ll show you the step by step creation of a t-shirt design and follow designer Robert Anthony as he goes from needing an idea and inspiration to final design and mock up.
